I used Wren many years ago not long after they started up. I bought about 24 units (I was attracted as I’d had enough of flat pack and the price difference was acceptable at the time). The carcasses were white and they had solid oak shaker doors. So I dealt with the team in the North of England. They were exceptional to deal with, the product was excellent, the timescale for delivery was good and the kitchen was delivered to schedule. I was told the lorry would arrive around 1300 (with a bit of drift as they had some distance to cover; I knew their journey was in the four hours region). It’s such a great memory seeing the lorry pull into my road at 1305….perfect really. That was a good fifteen years ago. I recently moved to a new build. Very nice kitchen cupboards which extended to the Utility Room. There was an 1800mm plus space in the Utility on the wall crying out for cupboards and 600mm space on the floor for a tumble dryer, (which we don’t use). Wren had a very similar cupboard door which I don’t think they could do flat pack (I didn’t want flat if possible anyway). To get ready made you have to buy five to get the 60% discount and the full price wasn’t a lot cheaper than the ‘made in Germany 🇩🇪’ kitchen I was matching. I’ll put it down to tiredness and frustration but I finally realised I could make it five (units) by buying a 600 base and four 450 wall cupboards. Obviously it’s an expensive way to fill an 1800 wall gap but it got me the 60% discount. I went and ordered at the Swindon branch and the Wren colleague from memory was Shannon, who was very helpful (apologies if I’ve mis-recalled name - in any case the showroom lady was very pleasant and helpful). As it was a small order and probably not off the shelf (so had to be made) it didn’t have the lead time that a whole kitchen would, so was delivered very quickly. Lovely product; can’t see the difference from the German originals even though they’re next to each other. Thank you Wren for your assistance twice in my life. Long may you continue to trade and I was so pleased to see you haven’t outsourced to the far east (or anywhere else for that matter). Excuse the mess in the photos but taken during installation. The cupboard at the end of the four Wren wall units is a boiler carcass. The others are the 600 Wren base next to the original double under sink unit.
The kitchen was incorrectly measured and designed. The worktop supplied was only 602mm deep when 640mm was required, meaning the integrated appliances would not fit. This was clearly a design error, not an installation issue. Wrongly proposed upper cabinets because the measurements of the cooker hood not correctly captured. We had asked for like for like cabinets as using existing integrated appliances. We were forced to urgently purchase replacement worktops at a cost of £690 just to complete the installation. Wren have refused to take responsibility and continue to hide behind “supply-only” terms instead of addressing the mistake. Poor service, poor communication, and a costly error — I would not recommend. In fact, stay well away.
Really good to deal with from start to finish. We had a few bits missing and damaged but were replaced with no hassle. Customer support excellent as well as design and delivery. Just a shame there was a delay waiting for replacement parts that should have been right in the first place but the important thing was how it was resolved - efficiently and effectively. Thanks
Wren Kitchens – Swindon (UK) We had our kitchen installed by Wren Kitchens in Swindon in September. Overall, the kitchen quality is good, though not exceptional, and most units arrive pre-assembled, which is convenient. However, our experience with the company’s service was very disappointing. When we first visited Wren just to get a design and a quote, the employee made it seem like they genuinely cared about our dream kitchen. Unfortunately, once we had the appointment and made the payment, it became clear that it was mainly about the sales. From that point onwards, we were constantly having to chase them for updates, and they rarely replied to our emails or queries. Although the delivery arrived on time, all the units were left in our living room for two weeks, leaving us with hardly any space to move — especially challenging with a one-year-old at home. The installation itself was delayed, and as a result, we had no kitchen for a week, making it extremely difficult to cook and manage daily life. I took unpaid time off work for the renovations and requested compensation for the inconvenience, but the case was simply closed with no resolution and no follow-up from Wren. One positive point was our installer, Tom, who was friendly and did a good job with the installation itself. Unfortunately, the rest of the service from Wren did not match his level of professionalism. Another issue we faced was their strict policy on returns and exchanges. Items purchased through Wren cannot be exchanged or refunded. This was the first time I had encountered such a policy, and unfortunately, we were unable to exchange a sink worth nearly £200. It’s also important to note that additional work, such as electrical installations, is carried out by third-party contractors, meaning extra costs are added separately. Overall, we spent around £10,000 on this kitchen, yet still encountered issues — for example, the hob continues to switch off. Due to the poor service and lack of support, I would not recommend Wren Kitchens to friends or family. If you do choose to go ahead with them, make sure you read all terms carefully and ask plenty of questions before signing. Reply from Wren Kitchens on review: “While we’re pleased everything has now been resolved.” Resolved where??? 😂🤣
Go elsewhere and don't bother with this company. After sales is a complete joke. I am going to the Ombudsman and trading standards. There is a huge gap between my oven and combi oven which they say is normal. This is not normal as I sent them pictures from the show room which doesn't show gaps between their ovens. My designs don't show any gaps. There's gaps between the doors and larder unit. Which again they keep sending videos out saying this is how to adjust these. Thing is my installer is a Wren installer who installs for Wren on a weekly basis. He knows how to adjust the Wrens doors etc. This is not anything to do with adjusting doors. This is a design and manufacturing issue. After sales customer care team is useless. Everytime you speak with someone they tell you they will sort it and nothing gets done. Then I email in and every email is read by someone different so I get sent out generic responses rather than someone actually looking into my case. Most the doors for the kitchen arrived damaged so Wren had to resend these out which cost me time and money as had to take days off work to be in for these deliveries as well as my installer coming back to fit these. It's an absolute joke! I've requested for a site visit and they have asked me to send door measurements. What has door measurements got to do with a gap in my larder unit and a gap between my ovens. Get your kitchen somewhere else and save yourself the hassle.
I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Mark from wren kitchens for coming to my rescue! Outstanding customer service, even when he has left the building. A true life saver, give the man a raise :)
Absolutely thrilled with our experience at Wren Kitchens! From the moment we walked into the showroom, the staff were welcoming, helpful, and genuinely interested in what we wanted. The design process was smooth and professional, with plenty of great advice and ideas to bring our dream kitchen to life. The quality of the units and finishes is outstanding — everything looks and feels premium. Installation was handled efficiently and on schedule, with great attention to detail. We couldn’t be happier with the final result and would highly recommend Wren Kitchens to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-built kitchen with excellent service from start to finish.
