What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Kitchen supply, furniture and fitting form the core of what this Swansea store offers, alongside doors, flooring, tiles, paint, bathroom supplies and building materials. Customers consistently highlight the helpfulness of staff, with James, Shakill and Steve named for resolving problems and for being approachable towards shoppers who admit to being unsure about DIY. Locating products is described as straightforward, stock is easy to check, and the layout makes a visit efficient, while door quality draws favourable remarks.

A recurring point is that items are usually held in stock, parking presents no difficulty and prices are felt to be competitive, with larger purchases such as storage units handled without fuss. Guidance towards the right product and having questions answered fully are further positives. Kitchen design and installation, by contrast, generate a different account: appointments were missed or rearranged without prompt follow-up, fitting was left unfinished, snagging was slow to resolve and one consultation was felt to lack suggested alternatives to a proposed layout. Completing every outstanding element before signing off is a lesson several accounts draw from the installation process.

Thursday - Thank goodness for the K app. Who have paused any future payments until this has been resolved. Wednesday and spend all day replying to 9 emails each asking 1 question, on information they had already recieved. Now to be told that it needs to go to another dept 🙆‍♀️ I am totally baffled, and emotionally drained. Just collect the item and refund me Terrible service I recieved at the Swansea store. I returned an item to store within 5 days tbf for a full refund as it it stated clearly on their website within 30 days. I was told he couldnt refund me because I had purchased online. Which i couldn't understand however I give him the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe the online system and store system maybe are not linked. I then asked for proof that I have left the £120 item at the store and I was told he could not provide me with one. 45mins later He wrote on a blank a4 sheet of paper which I would not accept as evidence that I had left the item in store and was entitled to a full refund. The second person I spoke to who worked on the kitchen design side spoke to me in a patronising manner, where I had to stop him and asked him to not speak to me like that. He then passed me on to a third person Kai who attempted to call customer services. Kai agreed I take the item home and he would ring me at 11am and arranged a free collection from my home address. Kai did not call and I am now on the third day and no one from Wickes has contacted me. The online service was simple and the delivery drivers were so professional and polite. I would highly not recommend Wickes.

Excellent store. Easy to find and plenty of parking. The warehouse is clean, well stocked and well laid out. The staff were efficient and happy to help.

been here a few times the past couple weeks for various things, every time the staff have always been really helpful and approachable. i'm not really a 'diy person' but every time i go in my experience has always been great!

Far superior to B&Q. Prices often cheaper too. Easy to navigate. Easy to park and virtually guaranteed to have what I'm looking for (the website can confirm that they have the item you seek in stock).

The worst thing I ever did was buy a kitchen and installation from wickes. There has been problem after problem and there is no one in this company that will take ownership or help resolve. After spending over £17,000 on the kitchen and installation - once the payment has been taken they wash their hands of you and that is where Customer service ends. I have been in to the store multiple times and they send me away with incorrect information and numbers to call basically palming me off and not taking ownership. There is a leak in the under cupboard heating which they didn't check nor fix, just replaced a panel on the side of the cupboard not fixing the leak, so now the other side has water damage. New piece sent, then Was woken at 6:30am being called by the delivery man this morning of the replacement for the damaged piece, wrong piece delivered, yet I have to sort this - again, no one taking ownership. Went into store to get the correct piece delivered and she said she couldnt help and give me a number, Called the number I was palmed off with and they can't even find my order number. This company is just a joke who have basically robbed 17 grand off an OAP. If I could give zero stars I would. If the kitchen was fitted properly I would love it but it has been over a year of stress with no one helping within this company - they all just blame each other for issues that arise. 0 out of 10 would not recommend.

Visited to arrange for a kitchen design. Booked surveyor visit for the Friday and the design slot for the following day. Needed to change the design appt, so rang to do so. Was told that I’d receive a call in half hour. The following day rang again as not heard back from them. After speaking to 3 different people and being on the call more than 5mins before getting anywhere I was told there was no record of my design appt and didn’t know about the survey one. Was told that they’d get someone to ring me back to rearrange. By this time I had decided that I was not giving them my business as I was concerned this was a sign of things to come.

Conveniently located on Carmarthen Road. Displays are a bit haphazard, and the place looks a bit tired bit there's a good range of stock on hand. Huge car park - surprised they haven't built a fast food outlet on it yet! Staff generally helpful.
