Howdens - Swansea

Howdens was established in 1995 and is a British manufacturer. It began with 14 depots and now operates nearly 900 locations across the UK, France, and Belgium. The company holds a Royal Warrant by Appointment to His Majesty the King to supply goods and services to Royal Households since 2025, and was named the UK's number one supplier of trade kitchens by Mintel in 2025. Howdens operates a trade-only model, selling only to trade professionals, and provides kitchens, joinery, and hardware products from local stock at depots.

Cabinets are manufactured in the UK from sustainable FSC and PEFC certified materials and carry a 25-year guarantee, while the exclusive Lamona appliance range comes with a 3-year guarantee as standard. Howdens sells more than 2.7 million doors each year, meaning 1 in 4 doors sold in the UK is from Howdens.

Trade customers and homeowners planning a new kitchen describe Howdens in Swansea as a dependable source for cabinets, worktops and appliances. Several reviewers highlight the design service, with one naming Jenny as patient and creative while developing a layout that surpassed expectations. A point made in several accounts is the breadth of stock, covering modular kitchen parts, surfaces, electrical utilities, flooring and doors, which allows complete projects to be specified in one place. Customers repeatedly mention helpful and polite staff who guide them through choices and produce computer-generated images alongside individual quotations for review.

Pricing is described as reasonable and fair, and the range is felt to suit different budgets. The depot is also used by carpenters and repeat trade buyers, some of whom have relied on it for years and brought family members along. Worktops are noted as an area where samples may not fully represent the finished length, a detail raised alongside otherwise positive accounts. Purchases of kitchens, appliances and fitted furniture are the mainstay, with many saying they would return for future projects.
