I would not want anyone to go through the stress that I have been through with buying oak furniture. I bought £6000 worth furniture from the store in Swindon. The delivery was to come on the 13th August which did come. The 3 door cupboard had 3 major defects. I called the customer care and they said it would take 11 days before I got the replacement. Waited and finally they brought in the 3 door cupboard on the 24th of August. After the staff taking all the trouble to bring the cupboard inside our house they realised that the hanging rail was missing and the nut bolts were the wrong ones. The staff felt really bad and explained they couldn't help but I need to call customer care again. I did it next day and again went through the same rut of answering all the questions, send photos etc etc. The customer care have no solution except to say they are sorry. Spoke to 7 different staff and had to keep explaining again and again. Then said the hanging rail will take 5 wèeks and the nut boltswould get posted to me and will take 7 days. This was trying my patience. Since I had no option I agreed to it and asked to speak to the manager who never came on the line. I was then told I would get a new wardrobe. That new cupboard would get delivered on the 4th of September. As usual I had no option but to wait. Frustration just kept building up. Today 4th of September the third time the wardrobe gets delivered and again no hanging rail and no bolts. I really did not know whether to cry of shout. So helpless I called customer care again. The same story again. They said to me the they have order the rails and will come to the company on the 28th of September. I screamed at them, told them I will go legally but it did not bother them. I insisted I speak to the manager. After insisting and the staff asking me what I wanted to speak to her. She will say the same thing that they are saying. Manager come on the line. She just gave me 2 options. This is what she said. We can offer you £50 to go yourself and buy the hanging rail and the nut bolts and £99.99 as an apology. If I said no to this then I have to wait till the 28th of September. So with no option left I had to agree to buy it myself. I would never ever recommend Oak furnitureland. They are not at all cooperative. All they have to say is sorry but they don't have any customer satisfaction. Think a hundred times before you buy their furniture.

Lovely looking corner suite in showroom. Unfortunately had to pay £500 to get proper upholstery in seats and all of the arm rests have dents in, definitely not solid wood! Complained, they sent a person out to check, Unfortunately not helpful.

The sofa is defective but out of the 1 year warrenty. The structure has failed. I reported it online but the comapany did not contact me. I contacted today and told them about the issue and explained my statutory rights but was told I have to sort the problem myself. I have so far paid a £60 call out charge and will recover this and the rest of the costs through money claim online which will result in a county court judgement against the company. This is as a result of a poorly made product and poor customer service.

Just received our order from oak furniture land, on unpacking it became obvious that the product was not finished correctly when I got splinters in my hand. The edges of the planks have not been finished and in places you can see where the saw has broken the grain of the wood. On closer inspection of the product woodworm was visible in the legs and back panel of the bookcase, on one of the legs the woodworm had completely gone through the leg so that you could see daylight ( see photo). I rang customer services to be told that it would be a week before they could collect the bookcase so I now have an infected product in my house for a week. The product was made in Vietnam and customer Services admitted that it would have come packed and not been inspected in the UK.

We ordered a display cabinet, we waited weeks for delivery which is fine but as soon as I opened my door to deliverymen he said " no way will that fit" they didn't even take it off the van to try, I've ordered similar since and it's been delivered no probs. AFTER MY REVIEW OAK FURNITURE LAND CONTACTED ME DIRECTLY AND HAVE RESOLVED THE ISSUE, THANK YOU

Don’t buy from this company there are certainly other companies other there who treat customers with better service and respect. We purchased two seater and three seater sofas along with a coffee table on the 29th December 2021, we were given a delivery date of Thursday 10th March 2022 which was no problem as we were not in any hurry for delivery. We received a text message on Thursday 3rd March confirming delivery on Thursday 10th March and the we received another text message on Wednesday 9th March confirming delivery time slot on Thursday 10th March between 14.00 and 17.00 by a premium delivery.We received a phone call one hour before our delivery by the delivery driver who then informed us that he didn’t have the three seater sofa as it wasn’t in the warehouse, when he arrived with our other items he said we should received a phone call from customer services informing us of the reason it wasn’t in the warehouse and to rearrange delivery of our three seater sofa. Needless to say we didn’t get that call and still haven’t to this day! We tried to contact customer services without any success- waiting up to 45 minutes for the call to be answered and subsequently giving up. I then phoned the Swindon store, who informed me that if i wanted my call to be answered, to phone at 09.00 as soon as they open or at 17.30 as they have to answer all remaining calls before leaving at 18.00.(They actually close at 17.30)!! I phoned at 09.00 on 11th March and still had to wait 40 minutes for my call to be answered! There was no explanation or apology for the non delivery and an alternative delivery date was scheduled for Wednesday 13th April! I was told that was next available. I accepted the date but then phoned the Swindon store - speaking to a salesman who informed me that this “wasn’t acceptable “ and he would email head office and we would receive a call! Needless to say we didn’t, Please read all of the reviews before you decided to part with your hard earned money to this company.
