Hammonds Fitted Wardrobes, Sliding Wardrobes and Home Office Furniture

We had a magnificent experience at Hammonds in Peterborough with Jyostna. She was so engaging, genuinely interested in our journey and what we were looking for, and gave us great ideas. She was able to resolve a problem we had created (basically gave old address for a designer appointment) with much professionalism, a smile, and much warmth. She’s a gem.

I had the best help from Jyostna who I would definitely recommend if you visit the Peterborough store. She was so knowledgeable and I left knowing I was very happy with my choice of my complete new bedroom. I find it hard to visualize and Jyostna went over and above to help me physically see and feel. (I did have my design to look which Jyostna arranged for me to have all measured at home so I made the most of my space). She helped me exhaust different ideas, different handles and colours matches. She was so professional and so patient. I cant thank her enough for her help. Can't wait to get it all fitted now. One happy customer 😊 well two including the hubby.

We had Neil come to design for us, he was fabulous loved our design but were hesitant with the price. However, we are now so pleased to have IFC and can now afford to have the wardrobe of our dreams. Jyostna and Shakshum in the Peterbrough showroom were so helpful in showing us our options and helping us make the payment on our portal :)

Had a quote for fitted wardrobes for my master bedroom in my new home from the lovely Rebbeca. I decided to pop into the showroom in Peterborough just to make sure I was making the right choices and had help from the lovely Jyostna who was amazing at making sure I was 100% with my choices. I would highly recommend Hammonds they clearly invest in training their staff to be able to give the right level of service to their customers.

We had 2 wardrobes fitted in the upstairs bedrooms. We were initially told that it would take 3 days, but the majority was completed in 2 days, which was a bonus. Upon arrival, the fitter told us that we needed to have the carpet taken up as the wardrobes needed to be fitted to the floor. We were not aware of this beforehand, which meant that we were left with half the carpet taken up in both rooms until we were able to arrange for someone to refit this for us. The biggest wardrobe was fitted with 3 doors missing and a panel that was a different colour to the one we’d chosen. The reasoning for this was because the doors weren’t given to the fitter in time. We were then contacted to arrange a date of when the fitter could come back and complete, to then be told 2 hours before they were due that he wasn’t coming anymore. We were contacted again to arrange another date, which was very accommodating to the fitter, and not us. We advised that we weren’t available at 3pm on a Tuesday afternoon due to work commitments, and was then offered a 5pm slot. The fitter still tried to attend at 3pm, but had to wait until we were home. We were told that we would get a good will gesture for the mess around of being cancelled a couple of hours before the fitter was due, but this wouldn’t be looked into until the wardrobes were complete. Upon completion, we were emailed with the final bill, and told that there would be no good will gesture, despite this taking 3 different appointments before the wardrobes could be completed properly. The completed wardrobes are stunning and we are happy with the final result now, but I think there are other companies out there who will provide the same quality, but better customer service, which is really important when you’re spending that kind of money. Therefore, I would not recommend Hammonds due to the lack of consideration to their customers.

I recently visited the Peterborough showroom and received exceptional service. Although a designer from another area had already visited us to plan our storage solutions, we needed to visit a branch to confirm colour choices and interior layouts before committing. The team at the Peterborough branch were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and welcoming. I would not hesitate to recommend them!

We dropped into Hammonds, so that we could see and touch some of the fixtures and furniture that we are having fitted to our new dressing room. We were greeted with a smile by Sally, who also made our young dog welcome. We spent the following hour reviewing and making adjustments to our order. Sally then noted everything down and has passed it on to our sales lady. We were offered cold drinks too, which were very welcome in this 30 deg heat!! All in all a very productive visit, thank you. We both wish Sally all the very best with her knee replacement operation on Monday. Regards. Chris and Camilla.
