Let’s start with the positives… The end product looks good and we’re happy with how it looks – very stylish and is a great use of space. Additionally, the designer was really friendly and helpful, and listened to us and adapted designs to fit our needs. Now with the negatives… The company only packages and protects the wardrobe doors, but does not package the rest of the parts. They say they do this for “environmental reasons” which seems like a bizarre policy as most of their products are wood-based and therefore they need to chop down trees anyway; plus, cardboard boxes can be recycled so I actually think they are trying to cut down on cost and using the environmental reason as an excuse. As most of the parts were not packaged, it meant that at least 8 parts were visibly damaged. As these parts were on random parts of the wardrobe, it meant that we could only build a small proportion of the wardrobe. Bearing in mind, this is a company that supposedly prides itself on quality and aesthetics, this was quite disappointing. However, we understood that sometimes these things happen and were willing to look past it. We reported the damaged parts to Fittingly, and they said that they would get us replacements delivered (they never actually apologised for this mistake). Long story short, over the course of about 6 weeks, the company never rang us about an update and we had to ring them and stay on hold for up to an hour multiple times. There were several times where they said they promised they would ring us back later in day, but they never did. There were also times where they led us to believe that our parts would be delivered the next day, but they never came to fruition. We eventually spoke to Citizens Advice and they advised that our card company could get us a full refund because they company had not delivered their product within a reasonable of time. And guess what… Only after we threatened to get a full refund via our card company did Fittingly actually do something and they eventually gave us a delivery date for the replacement parts! So basically they only did something when they realised that they would lose money. In sum, whilst the end product finally looks good. The customer services of this company is only good when they are trying to take your money. But once they have your money, they don’t really care and won’t really do anything to help you when they’ve made a mistake. We were extremely disappointed. You would maybe expect this from a cheap company, however you would not expect this from a company that markets itself as a mid-to-premium company.
Avoid this company. Our wardrobes were installed almost 5 months ago and the project is still unfinished. We are still missing doors, panels and finishing pieces, some parts arrived damaged, and several sections remain unusable. Even the wardrobe lights do not work. Their complete lack of urgency and communication is just exhausting. We keep being told that parts are coming “soon,” but weeks go by with no confirmed completion date and very little accountability. Meanwhile, our flat has been turned into a storage area for unfinished furniture, rubble and loose parts. We live in a small apartment, so having construction mess occupying our home for months has been incredibly stressful and disruptive. The quality itself has also been disappointing, with uneven finishes, visible gaps and poor alignment in multiple areas. At this point, we deeply regret choosing Fittingly and wish we had listened to the many similar reviews online before proceeding. Order number: 64717 Update - 30 June 2026 Unfortunately, the saga continues. Today was yet another installation visit, and once again Fittingly failed to resolve the issues. The factory manufactured the wrong replacement parts for the third time. The shelf beside my bed has two visible sides, and despite the fitter specifically requesting replacement shelves with edging on both exposed sides, they sent exactly the same incorrect shelf again, with only one finished edge. I genuinely cannot understand how the exact same manufacturing mistake can be repeated three times. We were instructed to empty our entire wardrobe because the fitter needed to dismantle part of the bedroom storage to install the replacements. We took time off work, woke up early, emptied everything, and the fitter even removed one of the large side panels, only to discover that Fittingly had once again sent unusable parts. The wardrobe has now been left partially dismantled, with panels leaning against the wall, and I have had to put everything back knowing I’ll probably have to empty it all again for another appointment. There are still unfinished exposed edges throughout the installation, and the wardrobe doors continue to have noticeably different sheens. Some doors are visibly shinier than others, yet this has still not been addressed despite being raised months ago. We were also promised that a Fittingly representative would visit our home to inspect these issues personally. Nobody came. At this point, this has gone far beyond an unfortunate mistake. It points to a complete lack of quality control, poor communication between the factory and the fitters, and a total disregard for customers’ time. Months after installation, we are still living with an unfinished wardrobe, repeated disruption to our home, and the inconvenience of taking time off work for appointments that achieve nothing because the wrong parts keep being manufactured. I will update this review again when, and if, Fittingly finally completes the job to the standard we paid for. At the moment, I simply cannot recommend them.
An absolute joke of a service and a total lack of upfront transparency. This is not the kind of experience you expect when spending £1,800 on a single, self-fitting wardrobe. They are quick to take your deposit, but only after you pay do they reveal the endless, restrictive hurdles. We paid our deposit on the 31st of May, and due to their rigid scheduling (strictly 10am–4pm weekdays), it would have taken three full weeks just to get the order confirmed and sent to the factory. When you add their standard wait time of several weeks on top of that for production and delivery, the timeline is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, their technician arrived an hour late for the home visit, causing me to miss an important work call. He then insisted on mapping our entire bedroom and taking photos of our private space without consent. We only ordered a wardrobe for one single corner, which we are fitting ourselves; there was absolutely no reason to survey and photograph our entire room just to verify those basic dimensions. Worse still, customer service actually suggested we just leave a stranger completely unsupervised in our bedroom for 50 minutes. They also answer the phone as "Sharps," adding to the unprofessional confusion. Invasive, inflexible, incredibly slow, and completely disrespectful of customers' time. Avoid.
I would strongly advise against even considering Fittingly. At the start, everything seemed excellent. The design and sales team were friendly, responsive, and helpful, and I was able to negotiate a price that I was happy with. Unfortunately, that positive first impression quickly unravelled. The first issue arose during the final design sign-off when I was informed that measurements had been entered incorrectly into the company’s system, forcing me to remeasure the room and reconfirm the design due to their own error. When installation began, the fitter discovered that several items had been manufactured or supplied in the wrong sizes, making it impossible to complete the job. Scratched rails, and materials with stickers still attached were also identified. The installation was abandoned, and large amounts of unused materials were left taking up most of my bedroom floor for over a month. Communication was appalling throughout. I repeatedly had to chase for updates, was constantly told someone would call me back, and those callbacks rarely materialised. Delivery and manufacturing timelines came and went without any proactive communication, and I was repeatedly given conflicting information. After months of delays, missed promises, and endless chasing, a replacement delivery was finally arranged only for it not to arrive on the agreed date, again with no advance notice. I had to contact the company myself to discover there had been a “problem with the delivery van”. The finished installation is still not of an acceptable standard. There are uneven gaps between doors and drawers, exposed holes inside the wardrobe, stickers still left on surfaces, and a poorly finished pipe cut-out that looks rushed and unprofessional. This is a far cry from the bespoke, premium-quality product that was sold to me. Overall, this has been one of the most frustrating experiences I have had with any company. The combination of repeated errors, lack of accountability, and consistently inadequate communication has completely destroyed my confidence in Fittingly. I have now filed a credit card dispute to recover my money. Fittingly’s response was to offer just 10% compensation, which I found completely inadequate given the issues and the final outcome.
If I could give Sharpes and Fittingly zero stars, I would. I’ve been left with piles of parts dumped around my home since 3rd February, and I’m still waiting for the cupboards and wardrobe that should have been fitted 7 weeks ago. Complaints are ignored. No one takes responsibility. No one fixes anything. They just fob you off and hope you’ll give up. The resolution offered hasn’t been fulfilled and I’m at my lowest ebb. I’ve asked for a refund repeatedly and they still won’t deal with it. They don’t care about the stress, the mess, or the fact that my house has been left in chaos. One of the two rooms has been left like this for seven weeks (see pictures). I’ve had to cancel family visits to my home as it looks like a Fittingly warehouse and cancelled a decorator as this has gone on now for weeks. Seven weeks of living around panels and half made cabinets which should have been removed on March 3rd. Don’t use them. Everything has been poor since delivery- poor product, poor customer services and poor attitude to my situation. I wish I’d gone to a local carpenter.
The product may well be fine but the instructions are so unclear and they don’t send all the bits you need. It took our joiner 3 days and two of those days he needed another person (5 man days costing us well over £1300) to do and his own tools to cut the pieces down and he had to go and buy parts. And a good 25% of the time we had to pay for was them trying to figure it out because what they provide you with is clear as mud. The product is covered in stickers which are difficult to remove. Product arrives damaged. Mirrors are only glued on and look cheap. Door handle doesn’t fit long mirror side (solution still tbc). Go to Ikea instead! Go anywhere but I implore you not to buy from them!
£7,000 fitted wardrobe nightmare – wrong design, poor workmanship, endless delays I deeply regret using Fittingly. What should have been two premium fitted wardrobes has turned into months of stress, poor workmanship, and broken promises. I ordered two fitted wardrobes (Design A and Design B) including supply and installation in June 2025, paying around £7,000. Parts were delivered on 1 August 2025. From that point on, almost everything went wrong. Design B: • Initially delivered in the wrong colour • Installation delayed for weeks, leaving the wardrobe in pieces and unusable • Eventually fitted, but in the wrong design, with poor quality materials and poor fitting • The finished wardrobe blocks access to two double electrical sockets, making them completely unusable Design A: • Drawers were fitted without handles • The wardrobe again blocks access to two double electrical sockets at the rear • Overall finish is below an acceptable standard for fitted furniture at this price point Communication throughout has been extremely poor. I repeatedly had to chase for updates. In December 2025, I was told an independent Sharp surveyor would attend to assess the issues and agree next steps. That never happened. No visit, no resolution, no accountability. Despite formal complaints and months of back-and-forth, I am still left with expensive fitted wardrobes that: • Do not match what I ordered • Are badly fitted • Are impractical and poorly designed • Do not reflect the premium price paid At this stage, I genuinely wish I had gone to IKEA — the quality, service, and value would almost certainly have been better. I paid part of the cost by credit card and have now had to begin a Section 75 claim due to Fittingly’s failure to supply goods and services that meet contract standards. Avoid this company. Poor quality, poor communication, and no meaningful aftercare once they have your money. Picutres show handles do not align, exposed drill holes (all over the inside of the wardrobe) marking for electrical socket and the mess I was left in for weeks
