We have received excellent service, help & advice, Donna was amazing on planning what the kitchen worktop & splash back would be like , excellent fitting service & really very nice people to deal with felt very personal. Like to support small businesses. They deserve to do well. My kitchen looks fabulous, thank you
Cheshire Granite Worktops was much cheaper than the other places we priced and there was a vast choice of worktops all of excellent quality. All the staff were extremely helpful and efficient. The whole process, from choosing, to fitting and purchasing all ran like clockwork and we were kept informed at all times. I highly recommend this company.
We had a mixed experience, but all is OK in the end. The quality of the stone, the finish, etc has all been really good - they're really impressive. They came when they said, no problems at all, team all polite and professional. The issues we had started because we had been booked in for later December, and then offered an earlier slot in mid-December which we agreed to. Shortly after we were informed we now couldn't have the mid-December slot, and our original slot had been given to someone else, so we had to either wait until January for a small discount, or use a subcontractor of theirs with poor reviews. Some of the reasons we chose them was speed, and reviews, so having to choose between those was not ideal, particularly when it wasn't our fault and we were working with no worktops at all which was unpleasant. We went with the subcontractor. When the templating took place, it turned out I'd missed a section off my original email request to get a basic quote, of course I understood the increased worktop would increase the size, but I was disappointed to find out that our fitting slot had immediately been given away to someone else whilst they ordered the different sized stone. It clearly states on their website that they template and cut within 5 days. I can't understand why my initial email and sketches mattered because the templating is there to iron out everything and get final measurements. So I was annoyed that our fitting slot had been given away prior to talking to us at all, and that the 5 days template to fitting selling point appears to only be valid if you can accurately pre-give them the measurements, and the templating is only mm adjustments. In addition, they want taps to be un-installed (ours is installed into the sink, not worktops), but they also want the units to be pre-battened etc. So if you're not a confident DIYer, I thought it was a bit of an ask to be honest. I thought installation would include battens at least. So at this point we're now on to a third date in December, and there was very little understanding from Donna that we are also trying to work, and it's a very busy period in December, and we couldn't just chop and change our working days with our employers etc, as in, you'd lose a date and be given a new one without any conversation, and expected to make it work. So finally the day of installation, and in our upstand there was a gap wide enough to fit a 1p coin in, filled with silicone; you could genuinely see it from the other side of the room. In addition, the upstand was supposed to come up to the window sills (window sills not installed yet), but they had measured/cut incorrectly, and they came to 4/5 mm above the window sill (so when window sills installed, would be on a backward slant). They did offer to correct these last two points, however we felt to remove the existing worktops would cause significant damage to the kitchen walls which have very little integrity. They didn't seem to see this as an issue, assuring us it would be fine, but they weren't there looking at it, and we felt uncomfortable with the confidence. I set about sorting the gap in the upstand, and to my surprise I did a neater job after a bottle of wine and a first attempt ever at it, then the professionals had done.. I had a thought for a solution with the window sills, but they weren't due to be delivered for 3 or 4 weeks which I advised, but also advised because Christmas and New Year were upon us, that that would probably be a pushed back further. I asked if they could wait until the window sills arrived, if the solution worked, perfect, if not, we'd have to get them removed and re-installed. They kindly agreed, but still chased us up the first working week back, and the week after which I did feel was a bit much given the circumstances. The windowsill solution was successful, and everything is now fine, but it required a lot of demand on ourselves we felt should have been part of installation, and a lot of organisation from ourselves and let down to ourselves that we felt was unprofessional.
After finding Cheshire Granite Worktops when doing our previous kitchen we had no hesitation in using them in our new house. Donna is so helpful and gives great advice while trying to stick to your budget without compromising on the overall finished look. There is a huge choice and Donna definitely knows her products and colours! The whole process was slick, professional and everyone we met were polite, friendly and took pride in their work. We have no hesitation in recommending this great little company…you will NOT be disappointed!
Fantastic professional service from Donna and Darren. We wanted granite worktops, and we got to view lots of different slabs at the suppliers they use. They were very patient, as we were renovating/extending our bungalow ourselves, so we couldn't go ahead until certain things were in place. We're really happy with our worktops and island. Kitchen almost finished!! Thanks, Cheshire Granite.
From the outset on visiting the showroom/office we were made comfortable with the huge choices and various design & extra options, we were adamant on a particular design which Donna came up with, worktops and full splash backs. Straightforward ordering process and despite our refurb having a number of delays they met our awkward fitting and measuring requirements. Installation was excellent, clean and on time. No hesitation in giving 5 star review.
So pleased with our new quartz worktop, beautiful quality. Donna was fantastic helping us choose a countertop that compliments our kitchen. Darren did a great job of fitting, couldn't be happier, highly recommend Cheshire Granite Worktops, and prices are competitive x
