Stone Connection Worksurfaces Ltd

Stone Connection Worksurfaces Ltd was formed in 2004 and specialises in the design, supply, fabrication and installation of natural stones such as granite, marble and quartz. The company operates from a 12,000 sq ft factory and employs a workforce including CAD technicians, templaters, sawyers, CNC operators, stonemasons and installers. Staff receive regular in-house training, and apprentices attend the stonemasonry course at York College.

Amanda Ingledew is the Finance Director and has worked at Stone Connection since the company was formed in 2004. The company is a Gold Fabricator for Silestone manufacturer Cosentino. It serves both domestic and commercial markets throughout the UK. The company offers a comprehensive range of bespoke granite, quartz and marble surfaces for kitchens and bathrooms, including natural stone flooring. It supplies stone for commercial surfaces such as bar tops, restaurant tables, food servery counters, and reception desks.

Worktop fabrication and fitting for kitchens and bathrooms is the core of what this York company does, and customers describe the process from quotation through to installation as straightforward and well managed. Several reviewers highlight the precision of the cutting and the quality of the finished surfaces, including quartz and granite, with one customer noting the use of a Vancouver surface on an island and the accuracy of every piece. Mark receives frequent mentions for his help in the showroom, talking through options and showing samples without any sales pressure, while Clive is named for overseeing delivery and fitting.

The installation teams are repeatedly described as polite, professional and tidy, checking finer details and clearing up afterwards. Communication comes up often, with customers saying they were kept informed and given clear confirmation of details before fabrication began. Reviewers also value the range of products and the advice offered when choosing between options. Speed features in several accounts, with jobs completed on schedule and appointments kept. A recurring theme is that problems are dealt with promptly, and that the same standard applies whether the work involves a single worktop or a full kitchen and utility.
