What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Projects involving bespoke fitted wardrobes, frequently for awkward spaces such as a loft bedroom with a sloping ceiling, are shown to start well at the design stage before difficulties set in. Designers including Saied and Jason Cordrey are named for understanding what was wanted and presenting proposals that were easy to follow. The finished furniture itself is acknowledged as looking good once installed. Set against this, the fitting process draws repeated criticism: fitters arriving late or not attending, faulty goods, missing parts, and jobs that stretched from days into weeks or months.

After-sales support is described as difficult to reach once payment has been made. One account reports a wardrobe pulling away from the wall, a month-long wait for an assessment, and a further wait for rectification, with the fault attributed to incorrect fitting. Another describes a project running from July to December, and a third notes that the price was higher than expected, with the expense accepted in the hope of quality. The gap between the encouraging design consultation and the installation and follow-up experience is the theme running through the feedback.

Just don’t do it. You’re better off putting all your money on red/black the gamble you’re doing in anything decent happening. I was going to write ‘the worst review in the world’ for them but I can’t be bothered. They are hands down, the worst company in the world to work with. Honestly, if you’re thinking about doing it, I’ll pay you £50 to go with someone else. This is a genuine offer. Special shout out to Carolina and Faye, their two worst employees and two of the worst customer service representatives I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Why work in customer service if you hate all customers? I’m ranting now, but it’s actually quite cathartic getting this all out in the open. Also watch out, as their designers turn up with no socks or shoes and love to walk about your house with dirty feet :) I will say this again, I will personally pay £50 to everyone that can prove to me they are not using sharps and going ahead with someone else. Absolute chancers

Horrendous experience, chose sharps even though it was double the price of the competition, due to the overly hyped service and bespoke fitting. Massively regretting this decision now. After sales support is non existent. Once the designer had lied to you about whats achievable and they take your money, they have no interest in hearing your concerns. Add to this the fact that the delivery was missing items so the job took over 2 weeks to complete. The only person you have a chance of speaking with if you ring in is the receptionist who isn't able to help. And complaints are not taken seriously, the only thing you will hear is that they are perfect and the consumer is the problem. Seriously do not recommend sharps to anyone who wants to maintain their sanity.

We only got as far as having one of their designers visit our home, for a free no obligation quote, and what an experience that was. When you feel uncomfortable in your own home, that tells you something. The guy who visited, was terrible, arrogant, obnoxious. I'm not going to go into any detail, but the design he came up with, and the quote he gave us was ridiculous. My 9 year old grandson could have come up with something better. My partner couldn't even stop in the same room as him, and had to go outside, from the comments he made, and he wondered why she didn't like him. I had a follow up email possibly from the manager, in which I did reply, and complain about him, saying if he would like to reach out for further information, then he could contact me, but surprisingly he never did. Please don't waste your time with these, and possibly look for a local carpenter to do the work for you, as you'll be paying a hefty price for contiboard

Faulty goods, fitters late or not turning up at all! Project took months to complete. Overall an abysmal experience.

A dreadful experience after just under 2 years wardrobe is coming away from the wall! Waited a month for a fitter to come out to assess the problem. Told that this is happening a lot and caused by one fitter not fitting wardrobes correctly. Then I'm expected to wait another month for them to rectify the situation. I expected more from this company. Very disappointing experience.

We paid nearly £11,000 for a fitted wardrobe from Sharps, and what we received is far below expectations. The design was misleading from the start. We clearly requested the wardrobe to be flush with a sloped wall – it isn’t. The drawings were unclear and failed to show key details. We also felt pressured to sign the contract. We were told the doors would be 28mm thick, but they are only 18mm. On top of that, we were never informed before signing that no back panel would be installed in sloped areas. The installation quality is poor: no back panel behind the drawers, multiple visible gaps where there shouldn’t be any, and no gaps where there should be. There is a cracked panel, missing screw covers, badly joined panels, scratches on a drawer front, and even the handles are not aligned properly. There are also questionable additions to standard frames, which they call “personalisation,” but the overall aesthetic is a complete disaster. The material quality feels cheap – honestly closer to IKEA level, not a premium service. The first fitter left a huge amount of dust and debris behind without even using a hoover. We were told dust extraction is only used if customers declare respiratory issues, which is unacceptable. The level of dust left after the first day made the room – and even the house – unusable until we spent hours cleaning it ourselves. We then had to wait another week for a different fitter with a dust extractor. What should be a basic health and safety standard appears to be treated as optional by this company. It has now been almost a week since the inspection, and we are still waiting for a report that was promised on the same day. Please avoid this company if you don’t want to spend a significant amount of money on poor quality, lack of transparency, and unprofessional service, only to end up with a room you cannot even use while waiting for issues to be resolved. Not recommended at all.

Designer from Sharps was excellent. Saied was wonderful and was able to understand everything we wanted. Great service.
