Duncan's of Banchory Warehouse

Duncan's of Banchory is a family run business with 48 years' experience in the furniture business. It has been supplying furniture and flooring since 1971. The company supplies furniture, flooring, home décor and soft furnishings for homes and commercial properties throughout Aberdeen and serves customers throughout Aberdeenshire. It operates a 3-storey showroom. The showroom includes an in-store cafe, where Steven Kenyon is an established chef. Services include fitted wardrobes and bedroom furniture.

Helpfulness and range are what come through most strongly in accounts of this Banchory retailer. Reviewers frequently describe assistants as friendly, caring and attentive, giving shoppers space to browse while checking that they are managing, across bedroom furniture, flooring and the cafe on site. Measuring up at home for a quotation, choosing colours and the installation itself are singled out for efficiency, and a theme raised again and again is that fitters turn up when promised and put in the effort needed to finish properly, a pattern said to have held over years of carpet and hard flooring work.

The Cullen Skink and afternoon tea earn particular mention, alongside reasonable prices, delivery choices and the sofas, beds and furnishings displayed over two floors and in the warehouse behind. A point made repeatedly is that guidance is given honestly, with time taken to establish what a customer actually needs before buying. Several buyers describe coming back for further beds, divan bases and corner sofas after earlier purchases, indicating satisfaction with both the goods and the standard of fitting.
