What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Kitchen replacements are the main reason people visit this Coventry showroom, with several returning afterwards for bedroom furniture and wardrobes. Named designers, among them Shoaib Ibraheem, Jonathan Hargreaves, Anil, Tony, SJ, Suhanjan Varatharajan and Dal, are frequently credited with friendliness, patience and thorough product knowledge while discussing materials, appliances and finishes. Accounts repeatedly describe layouts, colours and appliance selections being reworked as many times as required, with no sense of pressure to settle quickly.

Quotations were adjusted when appliance prices fell, and changes to orders were handled without fuss. Customers who chose to install their own kitchen or wardrobe report that damaged items were replaced promptly after a single call to the showroom. The build quality of the completed rooms and the attention paid to small design choices feature regularly, and the same staff names reappear in comments about bedroom orders placed after an initial project. A recurring theme is the relaxed, well-informed guidance that continues from the first consultation through to installation and the small adjustments that follow.

Had a great experience at Wren with Shoaib Ibraheem. He was friendly, professional, and really took the time to understand what I wanted. He made the whole process easy and no stress at all, and I never felt pressured. Really happy with the service and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a new kitchen.

Upon entering the store we tried to walk round and look at the kitchens available, we lost count of the number of people who approached us, we were polite and said we would approach them when we needed help, the last person who approached us I joked that they had more staff than customers (which was more than accurate) hoping they would get the message, but it made no difference. We then approached Daniel who we explained to that we wanted to do a quick design and quote with, he said someone would need to come to our property first to collect measurements. We explained we had already measured and would like to do a design, he told us that it would not be possible to do a design today, I said there was more than enough staff to do a design if he was not able. He said as it was a bank holiday and there was bank holiday offers on he would need us to commit today, and so there was no point in doing a design. He than went into his sales pitch and I said we just wanted a design please, he didn't listen to me and carried on regardless, I told him he was really annoying me and repeated that I wanted a quick design, he stormed off and said he would get someone else to deal with us. Another colleague came over and then did the design with us, which took just over an hour, we made a point of saying we wanted it to be quick, and the time spent was acceptable, however it was clear throughout that he had his script and was expected to do certain things that would just lengthen the process. Towards the end he offered us to see the kitchen on a VR headset and we said no thanks just the price please, he asked the same question again twice, and we refused, he looked panicked and said he would look at it on the headset (I can only assume he is under instruction to do this, and is worried about getting called out on not doing it). We said we were not about to watch him put on a headset and look at the design, we were happy with seeing the floorplan and the renders, and the only thing left to see for us was the price. He then began to generate a price for us. This involved the price starting at over £15000, and eventually coming down to under £6000 as he clicked various buttons applying various offers and discounts. The price showed on the screen with red text saying it was valid for just two days, I said did that mean in three days time did it go back up to £15000, and he said that was not how it worked, looking clearly uncomfortable. We thanked him for the design and commented that we wish he didn't have to tick these certain boxes, as from a customers point of view, who have said what they want it just means their wishes being ignored. He said he understood, and that he had tried to go as fast as possible, as it was usually supposed to take two hours! We were not impressed with the experience, googling after the visit 'what to expect at wren kitchens' one of the things mentioned is 'Sales Tactics: Be prepared for high-pressure sales techniques. Designers often present large initial discounts that they claim are "ending soon" to urge you to pay a deposit on the spot. It’s generally recommended to take the quote home, compare it, and negotiate' so seemingly our experience was the norm, and not the exception. I cannot believe companies still think this is a good way to operate in 2026.

They show you great graphic images and a short video of your dream kitchen. You then get a total price for your dream kitchen but, they don't show you the individual prices of each item within the quote, just the full amount. I went to DIY Kitchens and got fair superior cabinets, full wood doors, top range work tops, sink, taps and splash backs plus other accessories for £600 cheaper than what Wren quoted, including delivery too.

Jonathon Hargreaves has been fab from start to finish. We are now living with our dream kitchen and its perfect. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Jonathon despite us playing around with the design several times. We have now just finalised our master bedroom order and think we will be equally as pleased. Jonathon is an asset to the company. Thank you so much 💕

This review is based on my 2 appointments with designer Jonathan Hargreaves in Coventry. My design was in limbo after a designer had left and Jonathan turned the design around completely. Patiently went through each detail understanding what my priorities for the kitchen were. He was also able to bring the price of the kitchen down significantly without compromising the quality and integrity of the design. He was Friendly, personable and gave good suggestions too. He is a credit to the team as I was previously thinking of cancelling the purchase due to lack of consistent contact and customer service. He was also able to help get an earlier delivery date which I appreciate. I’m Looking forward to a smoother service and delivery going forward.

I went back to Wren for the second time this year after being so well looked after with the first kitchen I purchased, and once again the service was outstanding. This time we worked with Abdullah, one of the kitchen designers in store. His knowledge, professionalism, and attention to detail were genuinely impressive. From start to finish he handled everything smoothly and made the whole process incredibly easy. You can tell he really cares about getting things right for the customer. If you’re visiting Wren, I’d highly recommend asking for Abdullah. The store manager Bilal was also brilliant and went above and beyond to help arrange delivery around my very tight project timeline. From booking the appointment to completing the design and placing the order, the entire process took less than 48 hours. Fantastic service from the whole team. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for a kitchen.

We approached Wren Kitchens – Gallagher Showroom, Coventry during their autumn sales to renovate the kitchen in our newly purchased home (Order No: 47455163). Initially, our experience was positive. We were attended by designer Amisha, who took the time to understand our needs. As our kitchen is small, space optimisation was critical, and she designed a layout that met our requirements well. Based on her professionalism and ideas, we felt confident proceeding. Although the showroom manager Mr Bilal was extremely pushy about paying the deposit, we went ahead purely because of our trust in Amisha. Unfortunately, after this point the experience went downhill. Due to a family emergency, Ameesha went on leave, and our case was reassigned. From then on, the customer service was extremely poor — emails and calls went unanswered, and we had to repeatedly chase the showroom. We were forced to threaten cancellation just to get a response and arrange measurements. After measurements, our case was assigned to Abdullah, who appeared inexperienced and lacked confidence. He frequently consulted others while amending the original design. Since customers are only shown 3D visuals, everything looks acceptable on screen, and we signed off trusting that our original requirement — maximum storage and utensil space — had been respected. When installation work started in November, it became clear that the design had serious flaws. Large corner spaces were left unused, existing functional space was reduced, and the overall layout was worse than our original kitchen. He simply added panels to fill areas where much bigger cabinets could have been added. Even the contractor described it as a poor design and urged us to contact the showroom immediately before it was too late to make corrections. My husband and I personally visited the showroom and explained the issue in detail to the receptionist, sharing photos and even arranging a video call with the contractor as she said abdullah was busy. We were told Abdullah would contact us urgently to resolve the matter — but he never did. Since then, we have had no response whatsoever from him or the showroom. Feeling completely let down, we escalated the matter to Wren’s central customer service team. They contacted us and confirmed the issue would be handled by the Gallagher showroom. It has now been over a week, and we are still waiting for any response. This experience has been extremely disheartening. We invested significant money and trusted Wren with a major change to our home, only to lose usable space and be ignored when raising genuine concerns. The after-sales support is extremely poor, and the quality of service seems to depend entirely on which designer you get. If your designer changes midway, as in our case, you may be left in serious difficulty. Based on our experience, this is a showroom to avoid if you value reliable support, accountability, and proper after-sales service.
