Solent Worktops

Samantha and the guys at Solent Worktops were nothing but helpful and cheerful during the entire project. Always able to advise and inform us on queries. Loved the experience which tbh I was dreading as I have nightmares about taking off and replacing the worktops which were unlooked after wood! Sam allayed my concerns and was a really useful contact! Our thanks to the team for their successful work in replacing our grotty sides with lovely new ones!!

I would highly recommend this company if you’re looking for a trusted stonemason counter top company. Sam and Ray were a delight to speak with, there was no rush or pressure sales. Just what’s your budget what are you looking for. We went for their own range and you would not think it’s the entry level. The quality is amazing. The price was very reasonable and we made a few last minute changes which they had no problem with. After agreeing what we liked it was ready to be fitted in two weeks which was amazing as we thought it would be closer to 6 to 8 weeks like others. The fitters were respectful and clean. They had noted that the measurements for the window ledge was slightly out. Instead of making it our problem. They went back to the supply same day to ensure it was all finished that day which was simply amazing! You would not get this with a big companies! We are looking to do the utility next and will certainly be back!

They were all brilliant from start to finish and I cannot fault the service received. The process was quick, easy and I’m so pleased with the quality of my worktop. I have been recommending Solent Worktops to everyone I know!

We are very pleased with the friendly and professional service provided by Solent Worktops, from the initial enquiry right through to the installation. All costs were clearly laid out. Communication was excellent and advice was readily available. We have recommended Solent Worktops to family and neighbours.

Lovely worktops and great service from Ray and the fitters. Came very quickly to measure and then fitted in 2 weeks

I opted for Solent even though they were £500 dearer than my other identical quote based on the service and aftersales assurances from them. Throughout I specced double pencil edge profile, expensive but it was a deal breaker and what we wanted. Fitting day, the worktop arrived double bevel (the most basic finish) The fitter informed me that J**** the templater had written it down wrong. Step in owner Ray , who rather than apologise proceeded to argue with me and would take no ownership of the mistake. Said I should have checked, when clearly they hadn't. I had plumbers and electricians on site to carry out work as soon as install was complete so a revisit would have had financial implications. All quotes at all stages stated double pencil edge in BOLD!!! They highlighted in bold (not me) to underline what I would be paying for. Ray's unbending abrupt nature when his companies mistake/oversight was brought to light left me in a position where I had no choice but to accept the lesser specification product. No compensation or remedy was offered. At the end of the day they are only middlemen who take a profit for arrangements. In the event that your install goes awry dont expect any resolution if it is likely to cost them money, clearly an element of the profit isn't set aside to cover mishaps. I can not recommend, Do some homework and go to a company that is not just a middleman. ADDENDUM - Both under mounted sinks became detached within 4 months. We got a plumber out to remedy. His findings , cheap nasty silicone used and not enough of it, Appalling!

Really personalised, unhurried expert guidance in their magical cavern, full of beautiful choices!! To suit every budget...we were delighted to be made to feel as important as maybe a client who would go to top end styles! Thank you!
