Shaw Stone Ltd

Shaw Stone Ltd is a family-run business based in Fareham, Hampshire, established in February 2002 and incorporated in June 2003. Robert Shaw is the Managing Director and founded the company after leaving a similar stone worktop company where he had worked for over seven years. The company specialises in the fabrication and installation of luxury stone surfaces and interiors, predominantly working with granite, exotic quartzite, quartz engineered stone and sintered stone or ultra-compact surfaces.

Its core business is kitchen worktops, and it also fabricates bespoke shower trays, bathroom cladding, fireplace hearths, tables, stair treads and risers for domestic and commercial clients. A full templating, fabrication and installation service is offered on most products. Shaw Stone Ltd combines traditional stonemasonry skills with the latest technology, using first-quality materials and CNC machinery. It has invested £150,000 in a Thibaut CNC cutting and polishing machine and £80,000 in a Scandinvent CNC saw.

Works can be fabricated in-house at its Hampshire factory or abroad by trusted partners. The company has a showroom and factory in Titchfield. It supplies Dekton, Lapitec and Neolith sintered stone worktops, toughened glass splashbacks up to four times stronger than standard glass, and a wide selection of stone worktop offcuts. Its experience ranges from a local two-bedroom terrace house to a luxury cruise liner in Singapore, and it supplies and fits over 250 granite kitchen worktops and 5,000 m² of stone tiles annually.

Shaw Stone Ltd works with quartz and natural stone, and the reviews gathered around this Fareham business describe worktop supply, fabrication and installation alongside splashbacks, vanity tops and bespoke pieces such as a circular table matched to an existing surface. A point that comes up often is the guidance given in the showroom, where staff help customers work through the range of quartz samples and the offcut inventory, even when choices change along the way. Reviews time and again mention templating and fitting carried out when promised, a tidy fitting team and close attention to detail at joints and edges, with several singling out the quality of the finished surface.

After-sales care also features: one customer describes contacting the company about a tricky joint and having someone attend quickly to strengthen and repair it. Staff are described as friendly, helpful and patient, and the pricing is called competitive and good value. Work covered includes kitchens and bathroom vanity conversions, with fabrication, collection and installation all handled by the same team. Bespoke requests, from design through to collection, are another theme in the feedback.
