Hammonds Fitted Furniture

I visited the store recently and was met by a very professional lady called Libby. She was so helpful and knew so much about the products. I was very impressed!

⭐ 1 Star – Avoid This Company I paid £3,500 for a fitted wardrobe from Hammonds and it has been one of the most disappointing purchases I have ever made. The quality of the wardrobe is extremely poor. The materials feel cheap, the workmanship is unacceptable, and some of the corners have been left sharp. The fitting was completed to a very poor standard and looks nothing like the quality that was promised during the sales process. Before ordering, I showed the salesperson a fitted wardrobe installed by another company and explained exactly what I wanted. I was assured that Hammonds’ standards were excellent and that I would be delighted with the result. Unfortunately, the reality was completely different. The installers left my home full of dust, scratched my walls, and even expected me to dispose of all the packaging and waste materials myself because they said they did not provide that service. After I complained, Hammonds sent someone to inspect the wardrobe. He agreed that the work had been completed badly and said it should be redone properly. I was told I would receive a call within 72 hours with a plan to resolve the situation. No one contacted me. I had to chase them myself, only to discover they had booked a refit appointment without discussing it with me or obtaining my agreement first. The lack of communication has been as bad as the workmanship. At this point, I have completely lost trust in the company. Since the day of installation, I have been trying to get these issues resolved, yet I am still dealing with the consequences of a job that should never have been accepted as complete. For a company that markets itself as a premium fitted furniture specialist, the quality, service, and customer care have been far below expectations. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Hammonds and believe I deserve a full refund. Very disappointing.

I was very pleased with Michael's work. He was very kind, polite and communicated the whole time with me to make sure the assembling of the wardrobe, brackets and chest of drawers was exactly what I wanted. From Sue Steele.

My daughter and I visited Hammond’s to check out the wardrobe range. I am looking for a fitted wardrobe that doesn’t break the bank but will also stand the test of time. Neji was extremely professional in his approach listening to my queries and giving me considered answers about the wardrobes as he showed us round. We had just been looking at Ikea Pax as an option and Sharps had given my partner a whopping quotation so I wasn’t sure of the price point. He was very helpful and I appreciated his humour and helpfulness. We have booked a designer to visit and give us a quote.

Neji was clearly passionate about the products that Hammonds sell. As soon as we entered he left his desk to greet us and gave us a guided tour of the fitted furniture that was on display. He was thorough and informative without being overbearing. Though we don't have the funds to buy from Hammonds yet we know that we will be coming back after the fantastic customer service we received.

We had a lovely visit to Hammonds in York today where Neji helped to talk us through all of the different options with a very knowledgable and practical understanding of what would work best for us as a family. He was lovely, and fantastic at keeping our baby occupied (and quiet) while we looked at the different styles. Thank you Neji!

Popped into the showroom today and was greeted by Neji who was helpful and polite. Explained different ranges and promptly made an appointment for the design team to visit at a time that suited.
